Appliances are not ordinary trash in Oklahoma. Refrigerators, freezers and window air conditioners contain refrigerant that has to be recovered by a certified technician before the unit can be scrapped. We handle that step properly. Everything metal then goes to a scrap recycler rather than the landfill.
If the unit still runs, say so. Working appliances go to a local nonprofit or a family that needs one before we ever consider scrapping it.
